Residents and builders, please remember to contact Architectural Control before doing ANY additions or renovations to your house or property (this includes carports and fences). They advise on and approve construction plans to make sure that they are in compliance with the Deed Restrictions. New house construction and additions must have Architectural Control approval before work is started.

For new houses and additions, please provide a plat with setbacks, elevation drawings with measurements and interior and exterior architect drawings where available. For fences, please provide a plat with the fence line drawn on the plat and include the type of fence to be built. All necessary City of Houston Building Permits need to be obtained before construction begins. TO SAVE YOUR MONEY contact Architectural Control BEFORE spending anything on plans for new construction or renovations to your home. This saves you money and time so you don't find out after you start a project that it is in violation and then has to be redone. To all builders: Please be advised that while the City of Houston building codes applicable to Knollwood Village require the installation of side walks for new construction, at fourteen feet from the curb, a variance was previously granted by the City to also allow side walks to be installed next to the curb. The Knollwood Village Civic Club would, in fact, prefer that new sidewalks be constructed next to the curb, and especially when there are other sidewalks on the same street which are located next to the curb.
